Africa’s health systems are at a critical inflection point, where bold, collaborative, and innovative leadership is required to meet the growing demands of a changing population. The Ghanaian- Diaspora Nursing Alliance (G-DNA) is committed to mobilizing the collective power of African- descent healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, physicians, and allied health professionals across the globe, to drive sustainable improvements in health outcomes on the continent.
While nurses and midwives represent the largest segment of the healthcare workforce—and often serve as the backbone of healthcare delivery—we recognize that lasting transformation requires a multidisciplinary approach. Therefore, the 2026 G-DNA Annual Conference welcomes participation from physicians, pharmacists, public health experts, researchers, policymakers, and other healthcare leaders committed to shaping the future of African healthcare through interdisciplinary collaboration and workforce development.
Under the theme “Voices of Change Shaping the Future of African Healthcare,” this conference will elevate the contributions of the entire healthcare workforce while centering the voices and leadership of nurses and midwives as vital catalysts for systemic change. We anticipate bringing together more than 500 healthcare professionals, policymakers, researchers, and community leaders from across Africa and beyond for the 2026 conference, creating an unprecedented opportunity for collaboration and innovation.
